Q1) Am I restricted on design – must it be a box?
A) No, you can build to any of your designs or yours. You are only limited by your imagination.
Q2) Council approval – do you do it or do I have to?
A) If we are suppling and erecting, we get all approvals for you.
Q3) Cost compared to timber?
A) The costs are comparable to timber.
Q4) Are white ants a problem?
A) All steel frames and roof trusses are totally impervious to termite attack. They can’t eat steel.
Q5) How strong are steel frame houses in severe weather?
A) All are engineered to required cyclone rating, depending on where you live.
Q6) What about external finishes?
A) You can have whatever you like – brick, block, fibro sheeting, or any other exterior finish that goes on timber framed homes.
Q7) Can I have a two story steel frame houses?
A) Yes, you can go as high as you like, once again, only limited by your imagination.
Q8) Can I have my new home on stumps?
A) Yes – available on slab on ground, low set or high set – the choice is yours.
Q9) What about interior finish?
A) Any finish that goes on timber can be used on the inside of a steel framed house.
Q10) Can I put ducted air-conditioning through the ceiling?
A) Yes – there is space to have ceiling air-conditioning ducted as well as insulated.
Q11) How do I run my pipes and power cables through the steel frame?
A) The frames are all pre-slotted to allow for all utilities to be concealed within the walls.
